A dream carried across generations.
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION
RECORD OF THE YEAR
HORA is more than a recording. It is the fulfillment of a lifelong dream.
My grandfather, József B. Suha, was a composer who dreamed of one day bringing his music to the United States. Tragically, under the Communist regime in Hungary, he was persecuted because he openly believed in God. His passport was confiscated, his concerts were canceled, and his radio recordings were erased. His deepest desire to share his music in America went unrealized in his lifetime.
But every delay is not a denial! This year, on what would have been his 113th birthday, I recorded his most virtuosic and deeply personal composition, Hora, with the Venezuela Strings Recording Ensemble, conducted by Raniero Palm, and released it worldwide—fulfilling my Grandfather's dream. His music lives on in me and for you.
Your listening means the world to me. Thank you for your consideration.
In joy and remembrance,
Bernadett Nyari
